Carlow Garden Festival

Friday 24th July – Monday 3rd August 2020

Postponement of Carlow Garden Festival

In light of the ongoing situation and public health measures due to the coronavirus, the Organisers of the Carlow Garden Festival have taken the decision to postpone the 2020 festival to July 23rd – August 2nd 2021.

Cllr. John Murphy, Chairman of Carlow Tourism stated ” it is our duty to behave responsibly and with due care during this pandemic and the decision to postpone the festival until 2021 was taken against this background”.

Chairperson of the Carlow Garden Festival Robert Miller noted “In taking this decision our priority was to ensure the health and wellbeing of staff and visitors at the event and to this end we are complying fully with government directives to prevent the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19). We look forward to working with our many brilliant gardening personalities and welcoming everyone to the Carlow Garden Festival in 2021”.

The Organisers understand how disappointed audiences will be at the cancellation, which has become a firm fixture on the Irish gardening calendar, but are looking at ways in which they can present the venues during the week of the festival and details will be released in due course.
