This talk by award winning garden designer and interior architect Leonie Cornelius takes you on a journey from concept to completion and gives a unique insight into the design steps needed to achieve a truly special and personalized space.
Focusing on topics such as conceiving your dream concept, exploring your site, finding your style and all the way to bringing your concept into all aspects of your design from materials to colours and planting, this talk aims to inspire you to get started on your very own dream design.
Enjoy a stroll through garden history with award-winning garden designer and author Leonie Cornelius as your guide. The magnificent gardens are still owned and cared for by the family who laid out the formal areas in the 1680s, and have planted many fine specimen trees over the centuries. Explore this beautiful and fascinating garden and find out about its enthralling history.
Experience a house tour escorted by a member of the Durdin-Robertson family whose ancestry stretches all the way back to the original owners. The tour features the world famous Temple of the Goddess in the castle dungeons and is a key attraction in Ireland’s Ancient East.

Leonie Cornelius is an award winning garden designer, Interior architect and garden writer of best-selling book’ Dream Gardens’. She is best known for her television work on the RTE Today show as well as her role as Mentor and Judge on RTE’s Super Garden and as a presenter at the RTE Ploughing championships.
Her designs for Bloom in the Park, Dubarry of Ireland have won her several gold and silver-gilt showgarden medals.
As a garden writer her she has worked for many Magazines and Newspapers including the Irish Independent and the Irish Mail on Sunday. She currently writes a weekly spread for the Irish Mail on Sunday. Her website www.leoniecornelius.com is a popular source of inspiration for all things botanical and design.
