Dermot O’ Neill

Dermot O’ Neill is one of Ireland’s best-loved gardening experts. His exciting and colourful style brings the joy of gardening to a wide-reaching audience. He has served on the Council of the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland and was a founding committee member of the Irish Garden Plant Society.

With over 20 years-experience in broadcasting and lecturing, Dermot’s programmes combine his proven knowledge of gardening with a fun and accessible presenting style. He is a regular columnist with the RTE Guide and a gardening presenter on Newstalk with Pat Kenny.

Dermot is the author of many books including Dermot Gardens, Discover Gardening and the acclaimed Roses Revealed. Dermot has visited gardens all over the world and has guided many tours to some of the most beautiful gardens, including those of South Africa, Thailand, China and many European gardens.
